Can we change/Edit current Balancing segment Hierarchy?

Currently we have a segment hierarchy but wanted to change to different structure. Is it possible to update the current hierarchy or do we need to create a new one(screenshot below) with new start and end date?

If we create additional hierarchy will it have any downstream impact like integrations or will thre be any issues with FRS reports?
