What does the "eye" icon in demographic info do?

Hello, is anyone aware of what the function of the Eye icon in the Demographic info in the Personal Details page is? It is above the ethnicity section and when selecting it greys out the section. Not sure what the purpose of it is, if anyone knows thank you.
