Unable to Edit Gender Field on Demographic Info (ESS) section

Hi Folks,

We are currently unable to edit the Gender field (it's a read-only) in the Demographic Info section on the Personal Details page under Employee Self-Service (ESS).

Could you please let us know the reason for this restriction and advise if any configuration changes are required to enable editing for employees?
