Help Desk Agent Request List View - Can 'Actions' Column Be Removed?

We are implementing Next Gen HR Help Desk and wanted to know if it is possible to remove the 'Actions' column from the request list view. We are struggling to fit all of the columns we want to appear there, since there is no way to set specific column widths and save the width permanently. So, we thought to remove 'Actions' because no one is really going to use it just to give us one more open column space to add something else. Is it possible to remove this column?
