User facing Essbase Error 1042006
Summary:
When one user accessed the General Accounting Dashboard in Oracle Prod, they were faced with an error message: java.lang.RuntimeException: com.essbase.api.base.EssException: Cannot open cube view. Essbase Error(1042006): Network error [Broken pipe (Write failed)]: Failed to connect to [{our_corporation}_COA].
The user is no longer facing the error, but I am still concerned that we received a Network error related to a failure to connect to our COA. What causes this error to occur? Why would it only occur for one user for one instance? What impact could that error message signify, and what should be expected in terms of impact going forward?
