OSMH: Issues Connecting To Management Agent Cloud Service and Oracle OSMH Endpoints

edited Jul 21, 2025 9:07AM in Linux

Applies To:

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

OS Management Hub (OSMH)

Goal

For an Oracle Linux client using the FUTURE crypto policy, there are issues negotiating connections to Management Agent Cloud Service and Oracle OS Management Hub endpoints. As part of the investigation, we have identified interim workarounds

Workaround

There are two option to solve this issue, see below:

Option 1 - Add a custom crypto policy for 2048 bit keys

Amend the FUTURE crypto policy with a custom policy that adjusts the minimum key length to 2048 bits. To summarize:

1. Create an RSA2048.pmod file in /etc/crypto-policies/modules that sets the minimum key length to 2048.
