Unable to Correct Termination in Redwood UI When Future-Dated Assignment Exists

edited Jul 22, 2025 5:04AM in Human Capital Management 1 comment

Summary:

An employee was terminated on 14-July-2025 and re-hired on 21-July-2025. Now, HR wants to correct the original termination on 14-July-2025. At the time of termination, there was only one active assignment, We are only correcting the termination data and not reverse termination

However, since a future-dated assignment exists (from the rehire on 21-July-2025), the Redwood UI throws an error: "You cannot make changes to this record as a primary assignment exists."

Interestingly, the correction works perfectly fine in the classic UI and the record can be corrected via HDL, Is this a bug or a system validation
