Separate Person‑Number Sequence (or no number) for Employee Contacts

Dear Team,

When we create a contact/dependent for an employee in Oracle Fusion HCM, the application is assigning a person number from the same automatic sequence that we use for workers. We would like to achieve one of the following:

  1. Employees keep their existing auto‑generated person numbers (e.g., 100001, 100002 …).
  2. Contacts either
    • receive numbers from a different sequence (for example prefixed with “C” or a separate numeric range), or
    • are saved without a person number if that is supported.

Could you please advise:

  • Which configuration path or fast‑formula approach allows us to keep employee and contact numbering independent?
