Canceled Work Relationship Still Appearing in Reports

Hello,

After canceling a work relationship, I've checked the employee and noticed that the data still remains in the tables and continues to appear in reports. According to Oracle documentation, the system is expected to:

  • Delete the work relationship and associated assignments, payroll, salary, and compensation records.
  • Erase data from PER_ALL_ASSIGNMENTS_M and PER_PERIODS_OF_SERVICE if it was the person's only work relationship.
  • Retain the person record only for possible future rehire, while excluding it from general person searches.

Given this, I have the following questions:

  • Why is the canceled person number still appearing in reports?
