Transfer/ Employment Change - not possible to move the person to core

Hello,

we face following issue:

Employee is employed as an intern until End of September 2025. Since this is a fixed term contract, the exit date is set in Oracle already. By October 1st he´s changing his employment to a part time contract. If we create an offer, the only available option is “add pending work relationship”. We would need a transfer, but there is no option available. Even if we continue to process with the only available option, it´s not possible to move the person to Core.

The option “move to HR” is not available. We have no re-entry because the employee would only be inactive from 01.10.2025 and is already to be transferred on 01.10.2024. This means that we have no gap in employment and the employee always has an active working relationship. We need the action transfer. Otherwise we would have a resignation on 30.09.2025 and could hire a re-entry on 02.10.2025 at the earliest. (When re-entering, we always need a gap between the former employment and the new employment. As soon as we do not have a gap, German law provides for a transfer).
