Why does the PIM description get updated with the BPA line description when using FBDI?

Hello, we uploaded BPA lines and used FBDI to change BPA line description. The BPA description was copied over to the PIM description. Could someone explain why this may have happened?

we used fbdi to change BPA line description from SCRW BN CORT… to *H-BILL * SCRW BN CORT and saw that change unexpectedly copy over to the PIM description.
