How to Update a Recurring Element Entry from ICP

The requirement is to allow employees to update their recurring Personal Contribution from ICP. However, when a new amount is entered in the ICP UI, an error appears: "The effective dates on this new element entry are invalid. This entry causes an overlap with an existing entry for the same element”.

There is already an existing entry where multiple entries are not allowed. If I go to the Element Page and perform an “update” to the element, it will end-date the element and the new rate starts on the update date. But in ICP, I hit the error.
