Requester cannot be PO approver

We have comprehensive PO approval which goes via Cost Centre Manager and their hierarchy. We need to understand if there is possibility that if CC manager is the original PR requester , can we skip the requester as approver and let the approval notification be sent to thier manager (PO approval notificaiton)?
