Is it possible for number of openings to not be affected after requisition is filled?

Summary:

For example, if you have 5 openings on a requisition, once the 5th candidate hits the HR phase, the requisition will close as filled with 5/5 hires, but if 2 of the candidates fall off in the HR phase and are not processed (rejected, or withdrew, for example), the number of openings goes back up to 2, and the requisition displays 3/5 hires. Is there any way we can tell the system to not alter this number after the requisition is filled?
