Enter a non-catalog Requisition but the Supplier Item Number disappears in RSSP
Summary:
When users cannot find an item in our catalog they will enter a non-catalog requisition. Sometimes the item being requested is in fact in our Catalog. When entering a non-catalog requisition the users enter a Supplier Name and Supplier Product Number. The requisition is added to the cart but, the supplier product number "disappears." This situation only happens if the item is also set up in our catalog with an oracle item number. The users are unaware that this happens and submits the requisition.
When the supplier product number is missing the requisition goes to Process Requisitions. The buyers are unaware what product is being requested because the supplier product number is missing, therefore, the requisition is returned to the user. The requisition MUST always retain the supplier product number.
