Redwood HCM - Default DFF Values on Change Assignment: Assignment Number and Date

Hello everyone,

I'm working on a Redwood HCM implementation and facing a challenge with the Change Assignment flow.

I need to populate a Descriptive Flexfield (DFF) with default values automatically. Specifically, I want to:

  1. Default a value into the DFF field.
  2. Set an Assignment Number that consists only of numbers (no letters).
  3. Default the current date into a DFF field (e.g., today’s date).

Has anyone configured similar logic in the Redwood UI or achieved this through personalization, Groovy, or any other supported method?

Appreciate any guidance or examples on how to approach this.
