Supply planning does not consolidate all finished goods requirements into a single batch

Summary:

We have a requirement where client has a structure which includes batch items as child and Pack items as Finished goods. Client want Constrained supply planning to create supplies as per scenario below and they are manually assigning and creating Work orders for pack items to consume pack items.

The Forecast is loaded at both Batch and pack items, based on MOQ set for batch item, planned order of batch items is created for 45000 and planned orders of pack items are created pegged to batch item.

The issue is:

  • Target production quantities (e.g., 45,000 jars) are set, but actual completion may be lower due to various factors (e.g., only 38,000 jars completed).

Howdy, Stranger!
