Clarification on Email Engagement Tracking in Eloqua
Hello!
Using an email security solution that scans incoming emails—such as Proofpoint, Mimecast, or Microsoft Defender—can result in auto-opens or auto-clicks being recorded as engagement in Eloqua, even though these are not actual human interactions.
- Could you please confirm whether Eloqua is able to distinguish between genuine human engagement and automated interactions triggered by email security scans when building segments or analyzing campaign performance?
- Are there any best practices for eliminating the contact's automated interactions for example when building a segment in Eloqua?
