stopping daily maintenance

Currently we are performing a activity in our PBCS application, during this activity we are uploading a snapshot and we are doing some changes and we are downloading again. our script also has the Skip maintenance option which is set to Ture(means the next maintenance should be skipped).

during this process after uploading the snapshot some time the skip maintenance is not working which leads to failure of our job, sometime the skip maintenance is not working properly

is there any option to fix this or can we stop the maintenance in the application?
