Making 'Due Date' conditionally visible for Line manager while assigning learning to team

Has anyone been able to make the 'Due Date' appear conditionally for line managers based on assignment type. The 'Due Date' field should be visible when the 'Assignment Type' = 'Required' and hidden when 'Assignment Type' = 'Voluntary'. The asterisk for the 'Due Date' works dynamically, making 'Due Date' a 'Required' field when the assignment type is 'Required' and making it 'optional' when the assignment type is 'voluntary'.

On the VBS page, I see an option to put a value. Can an expression be entered here that controls the visibility of the 'Due Date' conditionally? If yes, would appreciate if someone can provide the expression that can be entered to accomplish this.
