Hello Oracle Community,

We are seeking guidance regarding the potential impact of deleting an asset in Oracle Fusion Cloud Fixed Assets in our production environment.

Background

  • Product: Oracle Fusion Cloud – Fixed Assets
  • Asset number: <101106>
  • Original depreciation method: 4% flat
  • Changed depreciation method: 100% (percentage) (updated after creation)
  • We have already run Draft Mode Depreciation and Draft Mode Accounting for this asset.
  • Environment: Production

What we did

  1. Created the asset with a 4% flat depreciation method.
  2. Updated the depreciation method to 100%.
  3. Ran Draft Mode Depreciation and Draft Mode Accounting.
  4. Now we plan to delete this asset.
