Transgender Employees
We’re looking to understand Oracle’s recommended best practices for managing transgender employees who use a preferred name that differs from their legal name.
Specifically, we would appreciate guidance on the following:
- How can preferred names be displayed across the system (e.g., connection, reports, Person Spotlight, etc.) while legal names are maintained for compliance?
- Are there configuration options to prioritize preferred names in user-facing screens? without seeing the legal name
- What is Oracle’s recommendation regarding the Gender field? What should HR users enter for transgender or non-binary employees, especially where legal and self-identified gender may differ?
- Are there any known limitations or upcoming enhancements related to these topics?
