Why do Payroll costs need accounting again in Projects unlike Payables?

Summary:

Hi Team,
We have successfully imported the Oracle Fusion Payroll cost into Oracle Fusion Projects using labor distributions with labour schedule type as "Payroll Cositing Configuration". Since accounting has already been run in Payroll, why do we need to run accounting again in Projects, and why doesn’t it come from the source like it does in Payables?

Content (please ensure you mask any confidential information):

In Payroll the accounting is for example:

  • Dr. Salary Expense
  • Cr. Payroll Clearing

But in Projects we still need to run accounting again, such as:

  • Dr. CIP Cost
  • Cr. CIP Clearing

In Payables, source accounting flows into Projects directly. Is there any possibility for Payroll source accounting to reflect in Projects the same way?

Howdy, Stranger!
