Updating Business Title to match Job Tittle

Summary:

We have seen some inconsistencies with Business Title values and would like to update them to match the Job Title. Has anyone done this before? If so, what is the best approach to take? Can we do an HSDL/HDL upload to change the Business Title? Also, once updated, does this upload mean a manual override and won't update when employees transfer/move jobs?

As you can see in the screenshot below, some business titles are displaying as the assignment number, and I would like to update that. Are there any other known impacts of updating this field? We currently have the Behavior for Profile Option: Retain User Changes.
