Is it possible to send an email alert to supplier when an inspection fails for an incoming material

Summary:

We have an receiving type inspection plan defined for an item.

For an incoming material when inspection is done using that plan, we have a requirement that an email alert is automatically sent to supplier incase of inspection is failed.

Please do let me know if anyone encountered a similar situation and have some possible solution for this.
