Labor Cost Distribution- Payroll Cost Imported into Projects Without Accounting from Payroll Module
Summary:
While testing the integration of Payroll costs into Oracle Projects using Labor Cost Distribution, we observed some unexpected behavior.
Scenario Tested:
- We ran the payroll process for an employee.
- Completed the Create Accounting process in Payroll.
- Imported the payroll cost into Projects using the “Import Payroll Costs” process.
Issue Observed:
- For the imported payroll cost, no accounting was available from the Payroll module.
- In Projects, under Labor Cost Distribution, the cost came without any accounting information.
- Since our Project Costing rules didn’t have an account mapping for this scenario, the system picked up a default account code combination
