Custom Role not able to update attributes from API call

Summary:

Created a Custom Role, user is able to edit/ update Organization details from the CDM UI but not able to update Address, Additional Identifiers, Additional Name, certain custom attributes via API call.

Is there any specific privileges needed for users to be able to edit Organization details from API call?
