Best Practice for complex job offers in Single-incumbent position
We are hiring seasonal employees directly into year-round positions and need their service to be broken so they do not carry over accrual balances. The challenge this time of year is that we are often making year-round offers while the seasonal assignment is still active. We currently have about 40 employees in this scenario and want to confirm the correct systematic handling ASAP. In these cases:
-The record appears in Manage Job Offers instead of Pending Offers.
-We need to terminate the seasonal assignment prior to the year-round start date to ensure a clean break in service.
Steps attempted:
Following the guidance on the Complex Job Offers page, we attempted to withdraw the candidate from the Manage Job Offers page and then process the hire manually. For example, with one specific candidate, the hire processed successfully in Core HR, but in ORC the candidate’s record shows as “Withdrawn.”
