DFF Still Editable Despite Removing Manage Privileges from View Role

Summary:

Hi Community,

 We’re trying to make certain Descriptive Flexfields of Product Hub (DFFs) read-only for a specific role.

 Here’s what we’ve done so far:

 We created a custom View Role by copying the seeded "Product Update" role.
In Item Class Security, we removed all Manage privileges/actions from this View Role.
Despite this, users assigned to the View Role are still able to edit DFFs, which we expected to be read-only.
Has anyone faced this issue before? Is there a specific configuration  that we need to apply to make DFFs truly read-only for certain roles?

 Any guidance or best practices would be appreciated.
