Redwood - unable to amend Assignment number in Change Assignment app

Oracle have confirmed

The ability to amend the Assignment Number in the Redwood Change Assignment App is currently not available for HR users. However, this feature is planned for future releases. The system will be enhanced to allow HR users to modify the Assignment Number, particularly in cases where the system-generated assignment number is incorrect due to multiple assignments. Unfortunately, a specific release date for this functionality is not provided, but if is expected to be included in upcoming updates to the Redwood Change Assignment App

Although I raised an SR asking Oracle to confirm a more specific release date for this functionality they have advised that they do not have an ETA for this and that I should raise a question in cloud customer connect as the community is more able to help me with answering this question
