FreeForm applications customization by end users

Summary:

Say I have ten groups of users, and each group would need to provide the same Plan numbers. The key metrics would be predefined, but the methods for arriving at these numbers would not be. Each group has its own ways of working, and we would not plan to change that.

I’m considering creating ten standard FreeForm applications, one for each group, and allowing my users the flexibility to customize their applications. This approach would enable each group to have an application tailored to their preferences while still providing the centrally requested data.

For example, I would need to collect Revenue, which would include two subcategories: Revenue from Products (RFP) and Revenue from Services (RFS). So, in each of these ten applications, I would include a Revenue measure with two children: RFS and RFP. I wouldn’t care how they arrive at these numbers. Some users might choose to input RFP and RFS numbers directly, while others might want to add additional children, such as Revenue from Onshore Services and Revenue from Offshore Services. For the second group, I would want to give them the ability to modify the dimensions by adding these Offshore/Onshore
