Can we forecast at single dimension Demand Class or it has to be Item-Demand Class

Is it possible to forecast using only one dimension? Can that one dimension be Customer, Demand Class (other than Item) or it has to be 2 Dimensions (Item -Org, Item - Customer) also if 2 then is Item-Demand Class supported?
