Can the project and task will appear in the Locator list of values?

We have enabled Enable inventory tracked by project in all the orgs. I understand that, Locator segment 19 and 20 reserved for Project and task.

After creating the project and task, the values start appearing in the locator segments automatically, or the project values need to be keyed in while receiving?
