How to define read only role for Product Management User in Redwood

Summary:

I am trying to create the Read only user role for Product Management (Redwood UI) but I am getting "error response during rest action" error & also there are no tasks visible.

But if I switch to classic UI , Product Information Management, the role is working as expected.
