Payslips for terminated employees will not load

We are trying to view the payslip for a terminated employee but it is not loading in My Client Groups -> Payroll - Payslips.

When navigating to My Client Groups - Person Management - View Payslip (Actions drop down), the payslip loads without issue. However, when using the Redwood screen My Client Groups -> Payroll - Payslips, the spinner wheel appears but nothing loads. I can see numerous errors in the browser console.

We are using custom roles, and when adding the seeded roles, the payslip loads fine. However, we have been unable to determine what privileges would be missing.
