Feasibility Analysis Request – Item Type/Line Type Solutions

I have some questions regarding the Item Type/Line Type solutions. Could someone please review the options below and provide feedback?

Option 1
The value of the Item Type field is dynamically updated based on the Category value selected by the requester.

Option 2
The requester can select one of the four values available in the standard dropdown menu of the Item Type field.
The list of values in the Item Category field is then dynamically updated based on the Item Type chosen by the requester.
