How to default / refresh Assignment EIT field value based on position DFF value?

We have a DFF in position and also EIT in assignment. Whenever value of DFF in position changes , we want the EIT value also to refresh. We have the EIT as read only and DFF in position is updatable.

We are trying to find a way to achieve this without uisng HDL or position sync processes..Can we leverage the table value set and lookup concepts to achieve this ? Can someone share the steps if handy?
