Candidates Can Change Country for National Identifier in RMI (Compliance Risk)
Summary:
After 25B upgrade in June, my organization has noticed that candidates responding to a Request for More Information (RMI) can now change the country of origin for their national identifier. Prior to 25B, either the option was locked or was less prevalent as we are seeing an increase in compliance issues, including candidates being hired without valid work authorization.
This impacts a large portion of our business (~15,000 employees across Retail, Supply Chain, and Corporate), and we’re looking for low-touch workarounds to prevent candidates from altering the country field during RMI. A majority of the hiring in this organization is done by Store Managers who act as both the Hiring Manager and Recruiters and have security preventing them from viewing PII for candidates.
