Assignment dff not updating when position is corrected or updated

Summary:

We created two DFFs, one for Position and one for Assignment.
The mapping between Position and the Assignment DFF was set up in the Manage Assignment Flexfields Mapping screen.
Position synchronization was also enabled in Manage Enterprise HCM Information.

When we use flows like Change Assignment, Promotion, Transfer, or Hire, the mapping works correctly when the position changes.

However, when we correct or update a Position, the related Assignment DFF does not update. We also ran the process Synchronize Person Assignments from Position after modifying the position, but the DFF on the assignment still did not change.

Is this the expected system behavior?
