Impact of Increasing Segment Length Assigned in Existing and Deployed Chart of Accounts

Summary:

Business user has Chart of Accounts that is tied to AP, AR, CM, FA, and other modules.

They would like to expand their cost center segment from a length of 4 digit codes to 6 digit codes.

We are aware that increasing the size of the segment is not recommended, but not impossible as noted in the comments on other Community Articles.

What we would like to know are the possible impacts, and configuration changes needed to be done to address the length change to be done
