Report comparing amount in Manage Project Cost and Award Overview

Our functional users have detected on several occasions discrepancies between the total expenditures obtained from a download of Manage Project Costs and the Total Cost that appears in Award Overview. So far, we have not been able to replicate the error. I would like to ask the community, if any institution have a report that compares the actual amount that appears in the Award Overview and the transaction total obtained from Manage Project Cost. This is not a discrepancy about rounding since the differences is usually more than $100.00.

This can be corrected by executing 'Update Project Performance Data' with the option 'Delete and Resummarize'. But the problem is that we cannot be proactive about it. Support IT would like to be able to identify, in order to correct them before the user has to contact us.
