Supplier Portal - Changing Company Name in email notificaitons - Manage Enterprise HCM

We found an issue where the email notifications related to Supplier Portal have an incorrect version of our company name. The solution we found was to go to Setup and Maintaince - Manage Enterprise HCM Information and change the name. This resolved the issue but we want to confirm that in doing so it won't have an impact on the GL or any other area of the appliation. Can someone confirm if this is a harmless change or what impacts it might have?
