How do I enable “Contains” wildcard / fuzzy Search on requisition form

When raising a requisition, under the supplier box, how do I enable wildcard search option without having to use the "%" symbol, so that when users are searching for a supplier, it shows all results containing that word/characters as currenlty its only showing suppliers 'starting' with that word/characters.
