Will changing procurement requisition workflow rules apply to current requisitions pending approval?

My client is adding an approval rule stating that requisitions over $500,000 require an additional approver.

This is in addition to their current approval requisitioning process, which is based on department and amount.

Requisitions greater than or equal to this amount will require two separate approval flows.

We would like to know if requisitions within these parameters that were already pending approval with the single approval workflow prior to deploying this new rule for the additional approver will be updated with the new additional workflow rule, or if the requisitions currently pending approval will maintain their original workflow.
