Archival & retrieval
Hi team, one of my ERP & SCM customers contacted me regarding their P2P process, more specifically regarding their records management - archival and retrieval - aspects of what they have stored within Oracle apps. They would like to surface future potential processes of archive after 7 years and later milestones , so they’ve asked us how Oracle may support data archiving for Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Receipts and Invoices. Moreover, if the customer wishes in the future to leave Oracle, is there a standard way to extract the SAE documents for long term storage on other media/apps?
I found an option which refers to the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Archive Storage (which has a separate price tag), but what would be the most appropriate recommendation for this customer? Thank you!
