CDO Records are modified without any integration sync

Summary: We have a Cvent integration which runs in real time and push Registrations/Attendee/Cancelled records into one of CDO. Recently, we noticed a bunch of records are modified in the same CDO(Cvent) and created new contacts into Contact object which are deleted in the past(they are still present in Cvent history). Upon verifying with Cvent team, they say that none of syncs happens on mentioned date.

Question here: Is there any chance that CDO records can modify(update) without any sync from Integration user into that CDO?
