Issue with Hiding Categories from Purchase Requisitions

in Self Service Procurement

Hello All,

We have a requirement to hide specific categories from being selected in new purchase requisitions.

Currently, we tried to set an End Date for those categories. However, we are facing the following issue:

  • If a requisition was already created with that category and the buyer tries to create a purchase order from it later, the system requires changing the category because it is already end-dated.
  • This creates operational issues since we only want to prevent users from selecting these categories in new requisitions, without impacting existing requisitions, negotiations, or purchase orders.

Request:

Is there a way in Oracle Fusion to hide or restrict certain categories from being selected in new requisitions only, while keeping them available for existing documents (PR → Negotiation → PO)?
