BPA amount is based on negotiated lines but not final, as spend varies by releases.
in Purchasing
Summary:
When a negotiation is awarded with the outcome type set as Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA), the system calculates the agreement amount as the sum of all negotiated line amounts derived from the agreed unit prices.
This value represents an indicative total based on the negotiation results.
However, unlike standard purchase agreements or contracts, a Blanket Purchase Agreement does not have a pre-defined total value, as the actual procurement depends on future release orders raised against the agreement. Therefore, the total agreement amount displayed at the time of award should be considered reference only, since the final spend under the BPA cannot be directly concluded or derived from the RFQ line details.
