Redwood Pages Self Paced approval

Summary:

The redwood pages for Self Paced approval under enrollment you have the options Self - approval required/none and the same for Manager.

Whats the expected behaviour if you mark Self for approval but none for manager? Who gets the approval?

I assume that if you mark both Self and Manager for approval that the manager gets a notification?? to approve - this doesn't appear to be happening though?
