Allow Defaulting of Position DFF from Department DFF when the target Position DFF uses a Value Set

We have a problem to default DFF on Position page based on DFF from Department. The DFF is Cost Center.
This Cost Center is stored on ORAGNIZATION level as DFF, and we would like to use this value to default Position DFF.

The process should work like this: I select Department on Position Page – this should trigger defaulting the Kostenstelle (Cost Center) field also on position page.

The problem is that the DFF on Position page where we want to default the value is a Value set. When the field is just a text field it works, but not when the fields uses Value set.
